Ha! You thought this had died, right? Teutonic Tuesday will never die — not as long as there are Germans around for inspiration.
Germans have really gross words for some stuff. In German, I guess you could say that they sound normal. Or that one gets used to them over time. However, when some of these words are translated into English, they conjure up a linguistic version of a bucket of puke.
For example:
seafood: Meeresfrüchte
Meeresfrüchte: sea fruits (at least that kind of rhymes with seafood)
ground beer: Hackfleisch
Hackfleisch: hacked flesh
sexual intercourse:Geschlechtverkehr
Geschlechtverkehr: sex(ual) traffic
uterus:Gebärmutter
Gebärmutter: birth(ing) mother
placenta: Mutterkuchen
Mutterkuchen: mother cake
Surely there are more...
